Aarti Asnani, MD

Principal Investigator

Dr. Asnani is a principal investigator in the BIDMC CardioVascular Institute and an Associate Member of the BIDMC Cancer Research Institute. She is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Asnani graduated from Duke University with a degree in chemistry and French as well as a degree in medicine. After completing clinical training in internal medicine and cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, she pursued postdoctoral training in chemical biology and systems biology. Dr. Asnani came to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2017 to establish her basic and translational research program in cardio-oncology. Currently, she serves as the Chair of the American Heart Association's Cardio-Oncology Committee. She also sits on the Scientific Committee of the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation, where she enjoys mentoring the next generation of physician-scientists.
