Research Fellow
RESEARCH INTERESTS: I am interested in utilizing noninvasive methods of cardiovascular imaging to better understand common diseases in electrophysiology. Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice and is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the Unites States. Metabolic syndrome is a prevalent chronic inflammatory condition associated with visceral fat accumulation. There is growing evidence that abnormal fat metabolism may be associated with the development of cardiovascular disease, including atrial fibrillation. I am interested in better understanding the potential relationship between atrial fibrillation and metabolic syndrome by, utilizing cardiac MRI to evaluate pericardial fat content.
OTHER INTERESTS: I am a cardiologist and electrophysiologist-in-training. My hobbies including reading, cooking and traveling.
