Dr. Alakbarli was a research fellow in Dr. Nezafat's laboratory in 2015. He subsequently joined the New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center as an Internal Medicine resident physician. During his time at BIDMC, he co-authored multiple publications under Dr. Nezafat's mentorship.
