Mentor: Reza Nezafat, Ph.D.
Dr. Mendes Pereira was a research fellow in Dr. Nezafat's laboratory from 2019-2020. During his time at BIDMC, he worked on developing techniques to generate both high resolution morphological images and functional maps of the human lung using CMR. His research interests included ultra-short echo-time MRI to help advance our understanding of pulmonary and cardiovascular MRI as a reliable and viable modality to diagnose lung pathologies.
