Vivian and Esi, both Instructors of Medicine in Nephrology, each earned a 2026 Early-Stage Career Investigator (ESCI) Award at BIDMC. Vivian will be investigating the role of AK4 in preserving kidney resilience during aging and Esi will be studying the role of RAAS inhibition in APOL1-mediated kidney disease.
