Professors Akinlolu Ojo and Ifeoma Ulasi co-chaired this outstanding APOL1 conference in Accra, Ghana. Participants, including researchers, nephrologists, ethicists, patient advocates, and others, met to consider the big questions about APOL1. The group worked toward identifying points of agreement and contention on topics ranging from basic science to genetic screening to novel therapies. Dave delivered a talk titled “APOL1 Kidney Disease: seeking insight into mechanism.”
