The Precision RNA Medicine (PRM) Core is a state-of-the-art informatics, delivery, and preclinical facility dedicated to precision medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). The Core is directed by Associate Professor Win Hide, and is co-directed by Professor Frank Slack, Director of the Harvard Medical School Initiative for RNA Medicine (HIRM).
The HIRM was established in 2014 and is hosted by the BIDMC Cancer Center. The HIRM brings together leading investigators in the field to accelerate investigations into how non-coding RNA functions and how these insights can be used to develop new therapies. The PRM Core was subsequently established as part of the HIRM in 2017 to support coding and non-coding RNAs assays for researchers affiliated with BIDMC and HMS, as well as biomedical research activities in not-for-profit research institutes, academia and industry.
