Jibril is a first year MD-PhD student in HST. He was born in Ethiopia, but grew up in Baltimore County, Maryland. He graduated from Columbia University in 2015 with a degree in Biophysics. He hopes to one day become a physician-scientist to help bring medical innovations from the bench to the patient’s bedside.
As one of the Pipeline Coordinators, he’s excited to work with local MAPS chapters and Harvard’s HPREP program to help build relationships between SNMA and local high school and undergraduate students. In addition to SNMA, Jibril is a social chair for the Harvard-MIT Joint Council and a member of the Inter-Society Multicultural Fellows Committee. Outside of school work, he enjoys reading, cooking, watching shows on Netflix, and playing squash.
