Dear Colleague,
The Office of Work/Life would like to take this opportunity to remind faculty and staff of some of the dependent care resources available to those with seniors, high-schoolers, and/or younger children in their lives. For specific information about the next round of the Child Care Scholarships programs please see #4 below and the attached flyer.
-
Senior Care Planning:
If you have an elder or other adult family member you are concerned about, you can get in-depth individual and family consultations, create an action plan, have family meeting facilitations, and receive referrals to national networks of vetted service providers. This free program is provided by Care.com and, if you have not previously pre-registered for adult or child back-up care, a pre-registration waiver is required. -
EdNavigator Program:
For those with college-bound or school-aged children, connect with a personal education advisor for your family. In addition to expert advice on student and family support around IEPs, remote learning, college planning, and more, registered users gain access to Camp Kinda, an online learning platform with 350+ hours of at-home adventures for kids (best suited to ages 3 through 13). Visit HARVie for registration details. -
Help finding vacation/summer camps through Harvard’s EAP:
Harvard’s Employee Assistance Program will conduct free searches for vacation and/or summer camp programs on your behalf. You can call them, or schedule a call-back at a convenient time, and they will take your camp criteria and send you a list of program matches (877-327-4278). -
Child Care Scholarships:
An additional application period for the University-wide, Child Care Scholarship program is LIVE in PeopleSoft beginning tomorrow! The application will be available from Wednesday January 26 through February 9, 2022. It should take less than 20 minutes to complete your application and much of the information is pre-populated from the PeopleSoft system. Note: If you applied over the summer of 2021, there is no need to re-apply.
Please visit the Office of Work/Life for a complete overview of work/life services and resources, including the Employee Assistance Program, the Mindfulness Program (which now includes a free subscription to the Ten Percent Happier app) and more.
