Dr Yalcin received her PhD on Neuroscience at Istanbul Medipol University/ Turkey. Currently she pursuits her academic carrier at Carroll lab at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders. As a non-resident researcher, she understands improving the quality of research environment relies on collaborative effort with administrators, postdoc offices and associations. She therefore aims to help postdoc community thrive through her HMPA membership. She is an avid cook, gardener and loves to travel around the world.
