Alison Krustapentus, NP is a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College and her Master of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. With nearly a decade of experience in gastroenterology, Alison specializes in the comprehensive care of individuals with inflammatory bowel disease.
In addition to her clinical work, Alison is actively involved in IBD research and is a clinician in the LGBTQIA+ Digestive Health Program at BIDMC. She is committed to education and mentorship, serving as a preceptor for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Boston College and as faculty for GHAPP. She lectures nationally on a wide range of IBD topics including transition from pediatric to adult care, diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic positioning, and management of complex IBD cases.
Her dedication to patients extends outside the hospital through advocacy work with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. She serves on the Executive Council for the Take Steps Walk and was honored as the 2023 Healthcare Hero by the Foundation’s New England Chapter.
