Garret Cullen, M.D.
Garret graduated from UCD Medicine in 2000 and underwent clinical training in Gastroenterology through the RCPI Higher Specialist Training Programme, completing his CSCST in 2009. He subsequently undertook sub-specialty training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, both in Boston. He was appointed as a staff Gastroenterologist in BIDMC and Assistant Professor in Medicine in Harvard Medical School in 2011. Garret returned to Dublin to take up his current post as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in St. Vincent's University Hospital in 2012. He is the current Honorary Secretary of the Irish Society of Gastroenterology and one of two national representatives to the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation. Garret is the Group Clinical Lead for Endoscopy for the Ireland East Hospital Group and the Honorary Secretary of the Medical Executive in SVUH. Garret's clinical and research interests are in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Endoscopy.
