Laura Varnum, PharmD RPh BCACP

Laura Varnum, PharmD, BCACP, is an Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist Specialist for the BILH IBD Centers. She graduated from MCPHS Boston in 2012 and worked as a pharmacist in home infusion, specialty infusion, and hospital pharmacy before transitioning to ambulatory care in February 2018 while working at Rhode Island Hospital. She received her Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy in 2019 and has since worked in gastroenterology and rheumatology clinics with Brown University Health (2018-2025) and UMass Memorial Medical Center (2025-2026). She also completed the IBD PharmD Immersion Program at Cleveland Clinic in the spring of 2026. Her clinical interests include Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, medication management, immunization compliance, and women's health in IBD. She is actively involved with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, including their Team Challenge endurance training program and activities with the New England Chapter. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, baking, crafts, and spending time with her husband and two children.
