Dr. Laurie Grossberg is a board-certified gastroenterologist specializing in the management of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is a member of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC).
Dr. Grossberg completed both her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at BIDMC. As Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Trials Program, she oversees the design and implementation of clinical trials evaluating novel therapeutics and treatment strategies for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. She has served as site principal investigator for numerous industry-sponsored studies of emerging IBD therapies.
Her research interests focus on precision medicine and the pathogenesis of intestinal fibrosis in Crohn’s disease. She has published her work in leading journals, including The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. Dr. Grossberg is also an active member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, where she contributes to the Patient Education Committee of the National Scientific Advisory Committee.
