Mohamed Hassan, RPh, BCPS, CSP, AAHIVP, is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Beth Israel Lahey Health's IBD Centers. He graduated from Alexandria University in Egypt in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Pharmacy and is a licensed pharmacist in Massachusetts. Prior to joining Beth Israel Lahey Health, he gained extensive experience in specialty pharmacy, specializing in complex medication management, biologic therapies, and medication access. He holds board certifications in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), Specialty Pharmacy (CSP), and HIV Pharmacy (AAHIVP). In his current role, he collaborates with the multidisciplinary IBD team to provide comprehensive medication management for patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, including advanced therapy initiation and optimization, therapeutic drug monitoring, patient counseling, and medication access coordination. His professional interests include emerging IBD therapeutics, clinical research, and improving patient access to advanced therapies.
