Steven C. Lin, MD, MPH is currently a Gastroenterologist at Washington Permanente Medical Group with a sub-specialization in inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He directs the capsule endoscopy program, and is a Specialty Pharmacy Case Reviewer for Gastroenterology.

Prior to this he was Chief Fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Instructor at Harvard Medical School, and Internal Medicine Physician at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

His clinical and research interests are in the creation of an IBD medical home; the use/application of various biologics, biosimilars, and advanced small molecules; and the use of technology, AI/ML and LLMs in diagnostics, chronic disease monitoring, and detection of colorectal cancers. He has had prior experience in consulting work for start-ups and medical device companies. He holds a Master's in Public Health on health care management and economics. He actively practices clinical gastroenterology and performs high volume endoscopic procedures such as upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, as well as specialized procedures such as dilations. He is Director of Capsule Endoscopy and has worked with endoscopic equipment from Olympus, Boston Scientific, Fuji, Pentax, Ambu, Cook, and Medtronic.
