Jessica Halem isn’t your typical Small-Town Ohio Jewish Feminist Lesbian who turned to stand-up comedy to make sense of the world. She trained in Chicago at the famous Second City under the leadership of stars like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. As a professional touring comic, she has shared the stage with Margaret Cho, Jim Gaffigan, and every LGBTQ comic you’ve never heard of. She’s performed at major comedy festivals, colleges, and opened for Lady Gaga at NYC Pride. Join her for an “off-the-record” night of learning the secrets of stand-up, improv, and how developing your own sense of humor can be a tool of resistance and resilience. This workshop is for everyone. No embarrassing games or stories required.
