Program Description: Student survivors of violence who have disabilities need a variety of support to address the trauma they have experienced, including the support of their peers and peer groups/organizations. Being prepared to serve student survivors with disabilities requires a thoughtful, proactive approach that accounts for the unique lived experiences that survivors with disabilities bring into their campus experience. This workshop will provide student advocates, allies, and group leaders with a framework for understanding violence in the lives of students with disabilities and strategies to incorporate into their own interactions moving forward.
