Neurotology fellow Dr. Dunia Abdul-Aziz is the recipient of the 2017 Yellen Young Investigator Award. Long-time Mass. Eye and Ear Trustees, Patricia and Barry Yellen, have been giving annual gifts toward this endowed award to support the research of trainees studying hearing and hearing loss since 2006. Each year, a junior scientist is selected upon the recommendation of Dr. Brad Welling, Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School. This award will help Dr. Abdul-Aziz further her research as she investigates the mechanisms of inner ear stem cell differentiation.
