Triological Combined Sections Meeting
Our department had excellent representation in San Diego at the 2019 Triological Mid-Winter Meeting last month. There were dozens of outstanding presentations by our faculty members, residents, fellows, and trainees, in addition to several poster presentations.
Notably, Chief Resident Rosh Sethi, MD, MPH, was awarded the Richard J. Bellucci, MD, Resident Research Award.
Association for Research in Otolaryngology Mid-Winter Meeting
This week, we were also well-represented at the 42nd annual Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) Mid-Winter Meeting. Held in Baltimore, Maryland, our otolaryngology faculty contributed more than 147 poster and podium presentations. Covering topics from tracking cortical map reorganization following acoustic trauma (Ed Hight) to delivering bone-binding brain-derived neurotrophic factor to remove hearing after noise damage (Dr. David Jung), all contributions were well received and ground breaking in many ways.
Most notably, one of the newest members to our research community, Anton Lee (the son of Drs. Daniel Lee and Judith Kempfle) made an appearance!
