Adeeb Derakhshan, MD

PGY-5 Resident, Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery

Dr. Adeeb Derakhshan grew up in Charleston, West Virginia and attended West Virginia University for his undergraduate studies. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and mathematics. He subsequently matriculated at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. While in medical school, Dr. Derakhshan spent a year as a fellow in the Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health, during which time he investigated targeted therapies for the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. 

Dr. Derakhshan has participated in a variety of different types of clinical and basic science research. His primary research interests include the use of precision medicine in cancer patients, nerve regeneration, and surgical outcomes.
