Gerald B. Healy, MD, FACS

Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, Part-time, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Gerald Healy is the emeritus Surgeon-in-Chief and the emeritus Gerald B. Healy Chair in Otolaryngology at Boston Children's Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. Healy has been a member of numerous honorary societies and has served as President of many of them. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has served as a Chairman of the Board of Regents of the American College of Surgeons and is a Past-President of the College. He was the first Otolaryngologist to be elected President. Presently, Dr. Healy is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

He earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine.
