Clara Sailer, MD, PhD

Dr. Sailer is a Clinical and Research Fellow in the Endocrinology Fellowship Program within the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Hypertension at Mass General Brigham (MGB). Dr. Sailer earned her medical and doctoral degrees at the University and University Hospital Basel in Switzerland and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Neuroendocrine Division at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She subsequently completed her residency in Internal Medicine at BWH/MGB.
Research during her PhD focused on neuroendocrine complications of the polyuria-polydipsia syndrome and the vasopressin biomarker copeptin. More recently, her work has shifted toward investigating cardiometabolic complications, mood, and the neuroactive steroid allopregnanolone during the menopause transition. She currently collaborates with Dr. Hadine Joffe at BIDMC and Dr. Karen Miller at MGH/MGB.
