Janet Rich-Edwards, ScD, MPH

Dr. Janet Rich-Edwards is the Director of Developmental Epidemiology at the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is a Co-Leader of the Career Enhancement Core (CEC) with the ROSA U54 SCORE Center. Dr. Rich-Edwards’s research focuses on how women’s life experiences, psychosocial stressors, and reproductive health influence chronic disease risk across the lifespan. Her work examines the links among early-life adversity, violence exposure, pregnancy complications, cardiometabolic disease, and women’s long-term health.
