Winston Hide, PhD, is a computational biologist specializing in bioinformatics, genomics, and systems biology. He is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and Director of the RNA Precision Medicine Core at BIDMC. His research focuses on molecular resilience in neurodegenerative diseases, using multi-omic data to identify therapeutic targets. He founded the South African National Bioinformatics Institute, advancing bioinformatics training and capacity in Africa. His current work integrates spatial transcriptomics and AI to drive precision medicine for neurodegenerative diseases.
