Shuo-Lun (Daniel) Lai

Lai received a bachelor's degree of medicine from National Yang-Ming University and a Ph.D. of biomedical electronics and bioinformatics from National Taiwan University. He is a colorectal surgeon at National Taiwan University Hospital and a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His expertise includes minimally invasive surgery, colorectal cancer and anorectal disease treatment, surgical device innovation, and artificial intelligence applications in surgery. His lab project focuses on developing an automated system that analyzes surgical techniques through video-based hand motion tracking.
