Dr. Hye Jin (Leah) Chung is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Skin of Color Clinic and Lasers and Cosmetic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She received her MD and MMSc degrees from Yonsei University Medical College, South Korea. She completed her dermatology residency and fellowship training at the same institution. After her post-doctoral research fellowship in the US, she completed another dermatology residency training at Thomas Jefferson University, followed by dermatopathology fellowship at Boston University. She is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. Dr. Chung has published multiple peer-reviewed papers in the field of laser therapy, scarring disorders, pigmentary disorders, and Asian skin diseases. Dr. Chung is a recipient of a Dermatology Foundation Research Grant, a BIDMC Stern Grant, and a Skin of Color Society Research Grant. Currently, she is conducting clinical trials regarding scars.
