The 2024 Diabetic Lower Extremity Symposium

November 7th & 8th, 2024

The Diabetic Lower Extremity Symposium (DLES) is hosted by the Rongxiang XU, MD, Center for Regenerative Therapeutics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center & the Wyss Institute at Harvard University. Dr. John Giurini, DPM, Dr. David Mooney, PhD, Dr. Marc L. Schermerhorn, MD, and Dr. Aristidis Veves, MD, DSc were responsible for organizing and directing the 2024 DLES.

Our team at the Veves Lab had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the 2024 Diabetic Lower Extremity Symposium, hosted between Nov. 7th-8th, 2024. Attendees shared their current research projects regarding novel wound healing therapeutics with local and international scientists and medical professionals. Presentations explored current and anticipated clinical research, basic science research, and biomedical engineering research. Alongside its emphasis on the relevance and importance of research, the DLES encourages presentations on medical education and practice, particularly surrounding diabetic wound healing.

The DLES was honored to host a diverse panel which included medical professionals, professors, students, and scientists of various national and international backgrounds; members of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); and a selection of esteemed representatives from start-up companies. Please see our images below to learn more about the names of the panelists, and please visit https://dlesymposium.com/ for more information about each panelist and the DLES.
