Garrett Swan, Ph.D.

GarrettSPost Doctoral Research Fellow

Garrett graduated from North Carolina State University (go wolfpack!) with his B.A. in Psychology and continued his education in psychology by attending Penn State University for his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology. At Penn State with his advisor Brad Wyble, He researched how visual information is bound together to form a memory representation in visual working memory. While at Penn State, He developed a love of programming (specifically, Matlab) and conducting research. Since June 2017, He has joined Alex Bower’s lab studying the effects of visual impairment on driving in a driving simulator. Besides programming, He is a fan of cats, coffee, Kung Fu movies, and collegiate and professional basketball/football.
