CHARM investigators go to Chelsea Research Festival
The Chelsea Research Festival highlights Chelsea residents’ contributions to science and bridges the gap between community and research. Chelsea Research Festival is a research poster session that showcases research that is either ABOUT Chelsea, or conducted BY Chelsea community members—or both! The CHARM team was proud to present on our study at the Chelsea High School, and to hear about the amazing research going on in the Chelsea community.

Boston Selected for CDC 'Pandemic Preparedness Cohort'
Researchers from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) are collaborating on a new, multi-site study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to study the spread of respiratory viruses and enhance pandemic preparedness. This five-year initiative, part of the CDC’s Community and Household Acute Respiratory Illness Monitoring (CHARM) Network, aims to improve understanding of respiratory virus transmission and support real-time public health responses to emerging outbreaks.
