Student Research Intern

Ella is interested in understanding how inflammation is regulated in the brain and how this process is altered in brain cancer, particularly how tumors disrupt normal resolution pathways to promote their growth and survival.

Ella is currently pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience at Boston College. The Panigrahy Lab is her first research laboratory experience, where she is gaining hands-on exposure to scientific research and developing foundational skills in the field. Ella assists Camille and Lily with the benchwork they do in the lab.

In her free time, Ella enjoys long-distance running, playing soccer, and traveling.

Favorite Question: “How do brain tumors adapt to and manipulate their microenvironment to support their growth and survival?”

Collaboration Style: Curious, communicative, and thorough.
