Kaycee is interested to know how tumor cells respond to various treatments that either directly or indirectly target host cells.

Kaycee is currently a sophomore at Christopher Newport University, pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry. She is fascinated by medicine and is currently apart of her school’s pre-pharmacy program, intending to pursue further education and achieving a PharmD. The Panigrahy Lab is her first lab experience, where she analyzes cell staining on tissues of different treatments, looking for signs of anti-inflammatory responses. 

In her free time, Kaycee enjoys pilates, reading, and fashion. She also dedicates time to media management at her school’s Black Student Union, as well as involving herself in other extracurricular activities such as CNU’s Campus Activities Board, President’s Leadership Program, and more.
