About
Hands-on, high impact, expert led. Train here, graduate ready for out there.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) offers exceptional training programs for medical students, residents and fellows pursuing careers in emergency care, research and healthcare leadership. As a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, BIDMC provides a fast-paced, collaborative learning environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, academic rigor and compassionate, patient-centered care.
Our programs are led by nationally recognized faculty committed to mentoring the next generation of emergency medicine physicians. Trainees receive hands-on experience managing a wide range of acute medical conditions, trauma cases and critical care scenarios in one of Boston’s busiest academic emergency departments. The Department also supports innovative research and quality improvement initiatives that are helping to shape the future of emergency care locally and nationally.
