Dr. Herzig receives the 2025 Herman Blumgart Residency Teaching Award

Herrman Blumgart was the first Chief of Medicine at the Beth Israel Hospital and established BIDMC’s reputation as a leading teaching and research institution. The Blumgart Award, chosen by a vote of our housestaff, goes to the faculty member who has contributed the most to both housestaff education and professional development during the past academic year.

This year’s recipient is Shani Herzig, MD, MPH, Hospitalist in the Division of General Medicine and Co-Firm Chief of the Robinson Firm. Congratulations to Dr. Herzig on receiving this very special award, and for her exceptional teaching and support of our housestaff!
