We are delighted to share that three of our Research Section Faculty members will be recognized by Harvard Medical School for Excellence in Mentoring this year!
First, Dr. Stephen Juraschek will receive the Young Mentor Award, given to younger faculty who selflessly devote their time to providing mentoring for others. Second and third, both Drs. Ed Marcantonio and Long Ngo will receive the William Silen Lifetime Achievement in Mentoring Award, given to individuals who have offered at least a quarter-century of mentoring at HMS. These (along with the Barger Award, which Dr. Marcantonio also received in 2009) are the highest awards that HMS can bestow to mentors for generosity of spirit and dedication to learners.
