This year's annual BIDMC Research Retreat 2024 featured keynote speakers, new faculty lightning talks, and a stunning poster presentation session! Highlights from our group included:
- Su Min (Violet) Hong, BS, and Mahalakshmi Rajkumar, MS, presented their work on how loss of Mecp2 results in gut dysmotility via dysregulated BDNF/NT4,5—TrkB signaling.
- Philippa Seika, MD, presented her work on a potential novel neurooncogenic mechanism involved in colorectal cancer progression.
- Srinivas Puttapaka, PhD, presented his work on how alterations in intestinal Bdnf levels underlie stress-associated intestinal dysmotility.
