The Division of Hemostasis & Thrombosis
The Division of Hemostasis and Thrombosis at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is focused on understanding the underlying mechanisms of thrombotic and bleeding disorders. Our Division, founded in 1975 by Drs. Bruce and Barbara C. Furie, has a rich history of contributions to the science of Hemostasis and Thrombosis, particularly in the areas of coagulation protein biochemistry, platelet biology, and imaging of thrombus formation. An important goal of our Division is to sustain an environment that is at once scientifically rigorous, intellectually intense, and enjoyable to work in.
