Mechanisms underlying the blood pressure lowering effect of sleep extension

Has your doctor told you that your blood pressure is too high?

The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is looking for participants (25-65 years) for a study which investigates whether changes to your sleep pattern can lower your blood pressure.

 

What’s involved?

  • 6-8 weeks of at home evaluation phase
  • 8-week at home behavioral intervention (you can stay on your medications)
  • Three overnight in-hospital stays before and after intervention
  • Sleep and blood pressure recordings during the stay
  • 2 blood draws during each overnight in-hospital stay

 

What do you get?

  • Payment of up to $1,050 for study participation
  • Learn heathy sleep habits
  • Personalized sleep health habit summary
