Starting Wednesday October 19 we will be using the time period of 9:00am to 10:30am for regular weekly maintenance of the OMERO server. What this means is that we will use this time to install software updates and do other maintenance and service procedures that may require turning off the server. Because this is a "Beta" service, we plan to install software updates frequently. To minimize disruption to users we have chosen this Wednesday morning period as the time we plan to do this work. Usually simple software updates can be performed in just a few minutes. Occassionally the down time can be longer. To cover these more involved outages we have made the maintenance window 90 minutes long. 

We ask that users refrain from attempting to import data during this maintenance window to avoid failed imports. Attempting to login and view data will possibly result in not being able to connect to the server. If this happens wait until 10:30am. By then any maintenance we were doing should be completed.
