Postdoctoral Fellow
Alhanouf is a medicinal chemist by training who completed her PhD in the laboratory of our close collaborator, George O'Doherty, at Northeastern University. In the Kirby lab, she will be pursuing projects related to antimicrobial development and characterization under a prestigious KAUST fellowship. She joined the laboratory in September 2022 and has been leading the charge in molecular modeling using the Schrodinger Maestro Suite and natural product analog synthesis as well as biological characterization of her medicinal chemistry handiwork. In the summer of 2025 she left the lab physically, but we have many papers/collaborations we are working on bringing to fruition in collaboration with George O'Doherty's lab.
