Our medical center consists of 743 licensed inpatient beds consisting of critical care, medicine and surgery, inpatient psychiatric care beds, and neonatal intensive care beds. Pharmacy Department
The Department of Pharmacy provides total pharmaceutical care to all patients who are treated at the Medical Center. The patient populations include adult and geriatric patient populations, premature and full term infant populations, solid organ transplant patients, and patients enrolled in clinical research protocols for cancer and other diseases. The Department works with allied health professionals, nurses, and physicians by providing drug distribution, sterile drug compounding, drug information, age and disease specific drug monitoring, order review and clinical consultation, safe and optimal medication management in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
The Department provides outpatient services in the ambulatory clinics/infusion, Emergency Department, and research pharmacy. The ambulatory clinics support patients through CDTM protocols, medication therapy management, and support medication access related needs. The pharmacists are embedded in primary care and specialized clinics that provide chronic disease management and high touch coordination of care for specialty medications.
