VL-TSNO Represents at the 2025 CNS Annual Meeting

CNS 2025

The Vega Laboratory for Translational Surgical Neuro-Oncology (VL-TSNO) was proud to represent at the 2025 Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, CA, with multiple invited and podium presentations highlighting our team’s ongoing efforts to advance brain tumor care through surgical innovation and translational research.

During the Monday Lunch Session (M07)“Advances in the Management of Pineal and Intraventricular Pathology in Children and Adults” — on October 13, 2025, Dr. Rafael Vega presented:

Adult Intraventricular Tumors: Integrating Endoscopic and Microsurgical Strategies in a Complex Landscape,

focusing on the integration of endoscopic and microsurgical techniques to optimize resection, reduce morbidity, and improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Fernando Terry also delivered two podium talks expanding the lab’s work in metastatic brain disease:

  • Breast Metastases Screening: Identifying Early Markers of CNS Involvement

  • Post-Ablation Measurements for Brain Metastases: Toward Quantitative Assessment of Treatment Response

Together, these presentations underscore VL-TSNO’s mission to bridge surgical innovation, molecular discovery, and clinical translation—bringing new solutions from the bench to the bedside for patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors.
