I went to undergrad at University of Missouri - Kansas City, and I'm now a medical student at Medical College of Wisconsin, taking a year to be a reasearch fellow with the Lin Lab. I am a D1 college volleyball player turned avid foodie and book collector—love cooking, baking, painting, and exploring new adventures around Boston!

Dr. Fatima Arif, MD

Hi, I’m Fatima! I’m a PGY-3 Plastic Surgery resident at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. I am from Southern California where I completed my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside, and went on to earn my MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School. My clinical interests include microsurgery and aesthetics, with a broader passion for advancing global plastic surgery. Outside the hospital and research lab, you can find me at hot pilates, exploring new hiking trails, attempting (once again) to relearn French, or on an ongoing mission to find the best crêpe in town.

Hi I’m Sanjana! I am a medical student at the University of Virginia and current research fellow in Dr. Lin’s lab. I went to the College of William and Mary for undergrad and majored in Biology. I grew up in the DC area and spent a year in Chicago before medical school! Outside of work I love to travel, take lagree classes, read, spend time with friends, and try new restaurants!

Dr. Dorien Schonebaum

Hi I am Dorien, I am an international medical graduate from The Netherlands and did my medical training at Leiden University. Currently I am working with Dr. Lins lab and the Amsterdam UMC to pursue my PhD. I hope to become a great reconstructive surgeon in the future. Outside of work I love to cook and travel, combining the two and learning about new cuisines gives me a lot of joy.

Charlotte Thomas

Hi There! I'm Charlotte, and I'm a medical student at Harvard Medical School and 2025-26 research fellow with the Lin Lab. I went to undergrad at Duke University, where I majored in Chemistry. I was born and raised in Iowa City, where I began one of my earliest hobbies -- watching sports (Go Hawks!). Additionally, I spend my time outside of lab running, hiking, enjoying the Isabella Stewart Gardner and MFA, and baking.
