Shreetoma Datta, MBBS
Shreetoma joined the MERGE Lab in September 2025 as a postdoctoral research fellow, contributing to research on how religion and culture shape reproductive healthcare decisions in different communities. She earned her MBBS in India in 2023 and has worked as a clinical physician and a medical reviewer in pharmacovigilance. Her interest in maternal and child health and how social and spiritual values influence care led her to MERGE’s mission. She is currently preparing for residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the U.S and hope to become a physician researcher in the future. Outside of work, you will find her exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and spending time with dogs.
