Anastasia Maria Stavridi is a PhD candidate in Cellular and Biomedical Sciences based in Switzerland, currently affiliated with the University of Bern and formerly the Balk lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Her academic background includes a Master of Science from the University of Basel, where she was a student at the Biozentrum – Center for Molecular Life Sciences.
Her doctoral research has been conducted at the Faso Lab, focusing on spatial proteomics and cellular adaptations to parasitism. Her scientific interests span a wide range of molecular and cellular biology disciplines, including genetics, genome analysis, and reproduction biotechnology. Professionally, she is also involved in clinical research standards, holding several certifications in human subjects protection and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for clinical trials
