Dr. Betul Ersoy

Dr. Betul Ersoy (also known as Betül Ersoy Fazlioğlu) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical School, having joined the institution in late 2022. She earned her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from Koç University in 2022, following an academic background in molecular biology and bioinformatics. 

Her scientific interests and research focus are primarily in the fields of molecular biology, cancer biology, and clinical medicine. Dr. Ersoy’s current work specifically involves investigating the mechanisms of prostate cancer, contributing to the broader oncology research efforts at the BIDMC Cancer Research Institute. Her earlier research experience includes studies on mitochondria and Drosophila genetics, reflecting a long-standing interest in the cellular foundations of disease.

Betul is a master baker, and hopes to hang up her lab coat for a chefs jacket when she retires.
