Dr. Anna D. Argoty Pantoja earned a double Ph.D. from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, focusing on the genetic epidemiology of complex traits. Her research has examined the genetic and environmental contributions to cardiometabolic and renal traits, as well as the genetic basis of personality traits. As a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Tamar Sofer, she is interested in leveraging multi-omics approaches to better understand the biological mechanisms underlying complex traits across diverse populations. Outside of research, she loves dogs, reading, traveling, and listening to music.
