Yu-Jyun (Gene) Huang
I am a second-year postdoc working with Tamar. My background is in statistics, and I received my Ph.D. in 2022 from National Taiwan University, Division of Biostatistics and Data Science. My research interests lie broadly in developing cutting-edge statistical/computational models to analyze high-dimensional genetics and genomics data. More specifically, I developed Bayesian approaches to estimate genetic networks and differential networks during my Ph.D. training. Now, I focus more on constructing novel polygenic risk score (PRS) approaches to analyze diverse and admixed populations. I am also interested in proposing novel approaches to quantify the uncertainty of genetic correlation and Mendelian randomization analysis via the Bayesian learning framework. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and reading.
