Dr. Vahid Kiarad has been chosen as the new Fellowship Director of the Adult Cardio-Thoracic Anesthesia Fellowship in the Dept. of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. Dr. Kiarad, who joined our department in 2021, is skilled in all aspects of cardiac anesthesia and has participated in teaching and mentoring of many residents and fellows. He received his medical degree at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences Faculty of Medicine in Iran, did his residency at Advocate Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, IL, and a fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. This fellowship is one of the most sought-after in the country and we are confident that it will continue to excel under the strong leadership of Dr. Kiarad.
