Congratulations to Valluvan Rangasamy, MD, MPH who is the recipient of the 2026 John Hedley-Whyte Research Fellowship.

Administered through the Eleanor and Miles Shore Faculty Development Awards Program at Harvard Medical School, this fellowship is a prestigious one-year award that supports the advancement of innovative research projects led by faculty in the BIDMC Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. 

Dr. Rangasamy's project will focus on studying temporal dynamics of EEG, cerebral autoregulation, and blood pressure in postoperative delirium and cognitive outcomes in frail surgical patients. We look forward to supporting Dr. Rangasamy as he expands his research program and to sharing updates on his work in the coming year.
